Ivan has broad Strategy & Financial Advisory experience framed in Corporate Finance & Restructuring process, designing and executing profitability and growth strategies, M&A, value creation, business plan model design, and business structuring and fundraising.

With more than 25 year of experience Ivan has advised clients across different industries and has been responsible for numerous corporate finance and restructuring projects, in a variety of sectors, however primarily in Oil & Gas, Utilities, Industrial Products, Retail, Pharma, Public Sector, among others. Iván has led and advised over 200 M&A transactions for more than USD$45bn

Ivan served as Partner – Head of Corporate Finance and Restructuring for Andean Region at Deloitte, where he led the development and growth of the corporate finance and investment banking practice. In addition, we served as Managing Partner of an Spanish Investment Bank, Senior Vice-President and Restructuring Officer for a commodity trading and logistic company, Partner-Executive Director of M&A in a big four firm and other C-level executive positions for multinational companies in the Utility, Oil & Gas and Mining Sectors.

Ivan is PhD in Finance and Strategy from IE Business School awarded with honors distinction. Ivan is OPM (Executive MBA) from Harvard Business School. Ivan is bachelor of Accounting and Management from Universidad Central in Colombia. MSc in Management and Research from IE Business School. Global MBA from Tulane University in USA with distinction. MBA and Master in Finance from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia; and International Tax Specialization from Queen Mary University in UK and Northwestern School of Law in USA. Ivan is associate professor at Tec de Monterrey, Mexico, Universidad de Los Andes, Universidad del Rosario and CESA in Colombia, in subjects of Corporate Finance and Investment Banking.
